Analysis of possible problems during the installation of sleeve joints

Saw off seamless steel pipes of appropriate length and remove burrs at the ends. The end face of the pipe should be perpendicular to the axis, and the angle tolerance should not exceed 0.5 °. If the pipe needs to be bent, the length of the straight section from the end face of the pipe to the bent part shall not be less than three times the length of the nut.

● Installation
Saw off seamless steel pipes of appropriate length and remove burrs at the ends. The end face of the pipe should be perpendicular to the axis, and the angle tolerance should not exceed 0.5 °. If the pipe needs to be bent, the length of the straight section from the end face of the pipe to the bent part shall not be less than three times the length of the nut.
Install 2 nuts and clamps onto seamless steel pipes. Pay attention to the direction of the nut and sleeve, do not install them in the wrong direction.
Apply lubricating oil to the threads and sleeves of the pre assembled joint body, insert the pipe into the joint body (the pipe must be inserted to the bottom), and tighten the nut by hand.
Tighten the nut until the sleeve catches the pipe, and this turning point can be felt by increasing the tightening torque (pressure point).
After reaching the pressure point, tighten the compression nut by 1/2 turn.
6. Remove the pre assembled connector body and check the insertion of the sleeve edge. The visible protrusion must fill the space on the sleeve end face. The sleeve can rotate slightly, but cannot be axially moved.
7. Final installation, apply lubricating oil to the threads of the actual joint body during installation, and tighten the compression nut to a noticeable increase in tightening force. Then tighten it by an additional 1/2 turn to complete the installation.
● Repeated installation
All sleeve joints can be reinstalled multiple times, but it is important to ensure that the parts are undamaged and clean.
Insert the pipe into the connector body until the sleeve fits against the conical surface of the connector body, and tighten the nut by hand.
Tighten the nut with a wrench until the tightening torque increases sharply, and then tighten it by 1/4 to 1/2 turn.
● Inspection
The pipe can be removed to check if the assembly meets the requirements: there should be even slight protrusions on the pipe at the end of the sleeve. The sleeve cannot slide back and forth, but slight rotation is allowed.
● Cause of leakage
The pipe was not inserted to the end.
